- Sorry if I'm jumping the gun, Andre, but this has been mentioned
- before and I think it is a good point to start on.
-
- How far do we go with the APP_DEFS file: how many keys do we
- include and so on.
-
- For keys, I think we need to formalise as many keys as are used in a wide
- number of applications. This means all of the keys that Atari/GemList
- specify, plus a few more if we can think of them.
-
- By default the users' defs file won't have many items in, but we do need to
- formalise at least the names of as many keys as possible, otherwise we have
- the dreaded 'same function in two programs but each uses different name'.
-
- For keys it's pretty easy, but a decent number of standard names for the
- other things (ie. BackgroundWindowClick: Right/RightLeft/Left/None) is
- essential.
-
- Other functions I think we need names for are:
-
- Dialogs in Windows (on/off)
- Novice User Help (on/off)
- Confirm on Exit/Save on Exit
- Auto Save Prefs on Exit
- Default Window Size (Lattice C really annoys me when every new window is
- full screen!)
-
- errr... I'm sure there are many more we can add to the list.
- Contributions, please!
